In a bizarre partnership that breaks traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine cult.
The questline focuses on "strange experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
